India Unveils Major Agricultural Schemes, Boosts Farmer Welfare and Pulses Production

In a significant move to bolster the agricultural sector and enhance farmer welfare, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched two ambitious schemes: the 'Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana' (PM-DDKY) and the 'Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses'. These initiatives, with a combined outlay exceeding ₹35,440 crore, aim to improve agricultural productivity, promote crop diversification, and achieve self-reliance in pulses. Additionally, the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Board of Trustees is set to discuss its digital overhaul (EPFO 3.0) and a new Employment-Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme, while Assam introduced an initiative for language training and job placement in Japan.
