Meanwhile, the 2026 Assembly Election results have delivered a seismic shift in Indian politics, with the BJP set to form its first-ever government in West Bengal and actor-politician Vijay’s TVK emerging as the single largest party in Tamil Nadu.

In a series of major developments over the last 24 hours, the Union Cabinet has cleared significant agricultural reforms, while the final results of the 2026 Assembly Elections have redrawn the political map of India.

The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a financial outlay of ₹5,659.22 crore for the Mission for Cotton Productivity spanning from 2026-27 to 2030-31. The mission aims to address declining growth and quality concerns in the sector.
